Carter Stewart

Carter Stewart has held senior management positions with three international airlines. He played a prominent role in the merger of TWA and American Airlines. He was Head of the Global IT PMO at American Airlines and held several other senior post with American Airlines in the Middle East and Asia Pacific regions. Some of his projects at American Airlines included managing a series of high profile initiatives, including due diligence of offshore outsourcing and start-up of new services. After leaving AA, Carter held a senior management role at Silverjet, the all business class transatlantic airline.
More recently he has become an expert in the complex and ever-evolving European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) rules and has advised a number of airlines on the best approach to take, maximizing exemption opportunities, as well as seeking clarification from the authorities responsible for implementation of the legislation.
